Can be used on the following pattern:

24040 : Kimono

    1.Cut 2 pockets using the template on the next page. The pattern piece includes seam allowances. Fold the top of the pocket 2 cm to the wrong side. Stitch along the top edge of the pocket. Sew the bias tape to the wrong side of your pocket along the edges. Allow about 2-3 cm of the bias tape to extend above the top of the pocket on both sides. Sew along the bias tape fold. The bias tape should extend about 1 mm over the fabric edge. See Fig. 1.

    2.Fold the bias tape to the right side. Sew firmly to the pocket edge. Make sure that the bias tape covers the previous line of stitching. See Fig. 2. Cut the ends of the bias tape band so that only 1 cm extends over the upper edge of the pocket. Fold tape ends to the wrong side. Sew them along the same stitching line as the bias tape itself. Place the pockets on your pattern and stitch. You can either sew along the same stitching line as the bias tape or conceal the stitching in the seam between the pocket and the bias tape.
