  1. Tassel Diy8017-step.jpg
.Place a section of yarn folded double (approx. 50 cm) on a cardboard strip to help assemble the tassel. Make a tassel by wrapping yarn around the cardboard strip (preferably wider than the desired length of the tassel – it can be shortened later).

.Assemble the tassel with a double knot.

.Cut the ends of the yarn to remove from the cardboard strip.

.Now finish the tassel. A method called the “whip knot” is used here. Cut a suitable piece of yarn – the one used here measures approx. 25 cm. Make a loop with a short and a long end. The short end must measure approx. 5 cm.

.Hold the tassel in one hand and position the loop as shown in the picture. Wrap the long end tightly around the tassel towards the loop as tightly as possible.

.When the whip knot is the right size, the end of the yarn is inserted through the loop. Pull the loop and pull the knot in under the whip knot.

.Pull firmly on both yarn ends to tighten the whip knot and trim the ends.

.The tassel is finished.
