Batik Idea No. 2:
Here you use three colours instead of just one. Crush your fabric by hand before dyeing to give it a wrinkled look. Add the batik dyes simultaneously so that they leach into each other and create new shades.
4 facts about batik:
- The project you wish to dye must be freshly laundered (and still wet)
- Mix the batik dye with water (follow the instructions)
- Leave your project to soak for one hour in the dye bath/with the batik dye before rinsing
- Finally, use fixative to fix the batik dye
