    1.Make sure you have everything you need. Print the template. We recommend that you use linen or cotton fabrics.

    2.Draw your motif on the wrong side of the fabric. Use a marker pen. Draw an 0.8 cm seam allowance around the motif. Cut 2.

    3.Draw the motif on batting. Cut 1 (no seam allowance).

    5.Sew Sashiko embroidery. Use the guidelines to check position. Here we sewed stitches in parallel lines.

    6.Embroider through one piece of fabric with the batting on the wrong side.

    8.Cut a length of ribbon about 24 cm long. Fold it double and attach it with pins to the right side of one piece of fabric.

    9.Stitch the two fabric pieces together, right sides facing. Press. Sew them together on the wrong side. Leave a gap for turning.

    11.Sew gap to close. Remove the water-soluble markings with water. Press.
