    1.Make sure you have everything you need.

    2.Cut out 2 rectangular pieces of PAP FAB (12 x 28 cm). Fold each piece in half (2 cm fold width). Tip: Make marks (if any) with a pencil.

    3.If you wish, cut a pattern into the folded edges.

    4.Make 2 fans and staple them together on one side. Then bind the fans together in the middle with gold thread. Pull tight and knot firmly.

    5.Fold out the fan to create a rosette. Staple the remaining sides together.

    6.Affix the star using jewellery glue. Decorate the rosettes in different ways.

    7.Red or gold rosette: Cut a rectangular piece of PAP FAB (10 x 20 cm). Fold this piece (1 cm fold width). Tip: Make marks (if any) with a pencil.

    8.Find the middle and fold one half to make a fan. Staple the sides together at both ends. Tie a string tightly around the middle of the folds to form a “half rosette”. If you wish, tie a bell to the string.

    9.Gold fan: Draw the fan and mark fold lines on the back of the PAP FAB. Cut out.

    10.To make folding easier, scratch fold lines using a needle and a ruler.

    11.Fold the fan. Make a hole for the string. You may need to use hole punch pliers or an awl.
