- PAP FAB, 1 roll
- Cutting board
- Patchwork ruler, 15 x 60 cm
- Scissors
- Glue gun, glue stick refills
- Pencil
- Utility knife
- Staple gun
- Rigid cardboard
How to make a rosette with 3 layers
1:
Cut a disc of rigid cardboard 24 cm in diameter.
2:
Draw the number of squares on the wrong side of the PAP FAB with a pencil, and then cut them out.
11 pcs. squares with the measurements: 8 x 8 cm
12 pcs. squares with the measurements: 10 x 10 cm
12 pcs. squares with the measurements: 12 x 12 cm
3:
Fold each piece to form a cone. Staple each cone twice to secure. NB: Fold each cone in the same direction.
4:
First, position the biggest 12 x 12 cm cones evenly around the cardboard disc. The backs of the cones should face upwards. Glue on the cones using a glue gun.
5:
Use the middle sized cones, measuring 10 x 10 cm for the next layer. Position them, and glue them on the first layer of cones. Repeat with the smallest cones, measuring 8 x 8 cm, to finish the last layer. Now, your rosette is finished.
Make other variants of the rosette
Do you want to variate the rosette, add a remnant of woven cotton, which you glue on to your PAP FAB, and cut it out. Then you get beautiful patterns on your rosette.
Also, make a larger rosette with 5 layers. For this, you need a disc with a diameter on 27 cm and following squares:
4 pcs. squares with the measurements: 8 x 8 cm
8 pcs. squares with the measurements: 9 x 9 cm
11 pcs. squares with the measurements: 10 x 10 cm
15 pcs. squares with the measurements: 11 x 11 cm
15 pcs. squares with the measurements: 12 x 12 cm
You can hang the finished rosette on the wall, use it as decoration on the table or put it on a shelf in the living room.
