Materials

65 cm of fur fabric with suede backing

4 m of ribbon/tape

  1. 1.Draw the front and back pattern pieces. Unit of measurement = cm, see fig. 1.
  2. 2.Cut 1 back and 2 front pieces. NOTE: Place fabric furry side of down to cut out.
  3. 3.Sew shoulder seams. Lay front shoulder seam 2 cm in over the back shoulder seam. Sew through 2 fabric thicknesses. See fig. 2. 1 cm seam allowance.
  4. 4.Cut 8 ties each 50 cm long.
  5. 5.Sew one end 1 + 1 cm to the wrong side on all 8 ties.
  6. 6.Fold the other end of each tie 0.5 cm and sew twice, 0.3 cm and 1.0 cm from the edge. See fig. 3.
  7. 7.Place ties 1 cm below armhole and 12 cm from the bottom edge of the waistcoat at the sides - on the wrong side of fronts and back.
