    1.Place the cookie cutter on a felting cushion. Tear off small tufts of carded wool (use 2 colours if you like). Lay the wool tuft by tuft inside the cookie cutter. Poke using a felting needle (medium) until the wool forms a firm fabric in the cookie cutter. Now carefully turn the heart over and felt the back. Gently remove the heart from the cushion.

    2.Peppermint stick: Take two equal portions of wool, roll them between your fingers and twist them together.

    3.Place the peppermint stick on the felting cushion. Poke the felting needle (medium) into the stick until it is firm. Gently remove from the cushion and cut off any excess wool.

    4.Cut excess wool off the heart and cut the heart into shape.

    5.Place the heart on the felting cushion. Poke the peppermint stick using the fine felting needle until it is firmly attached to the heart. To hang, make a thread loop (here metallic gold).

    6.Variation: This heart is made in turquoise carded wool. The parcel is made in metallic gold thread. Poke thread into the fabric using the fine felting needle. Tie the bow by hand.
