    1.Cut fabric strips into pieces 1 and 2 respectively, using the templates Sew pieces 1 together to form a length of fabric (1 cm seam allowance). Press. See Fig. 1.

    2.Sew pieces 2 together to form a length of fabric (1 cm seam allowance). Press. See Fig. 2.

    3.Sew the 2 fabric lengths together. Match seams. Press. See Fig. 3. NB: The finished patchwork fabric should be about 3-5 cm larger than the pattern piece. Cut pattern pieces from your patchwork fabric. Follow sewing pattern instructions.
  4. 4.Sew patchwork using strips of fabric, e.g. 5 cm wide. Choose a suitable length and number of strips, i.e. depending on how you expect to use the finished piece of patchwork. Sew the strips with 1 cm seam allowance. Press. Measure and mark your pattern pieces. Make sure that the finished piece of patchwork fabric is about 3-5 cm larger that the pattern piece. Cut pattern pieces from your patchwork fabric. Follow sewing pattern instructions.
