Woven viscose velvet dusty heather

A luxurious fabric with a gorgeous, silk-like sheen, drapes beautifully. You can use this velvet for sewing loose-fitting trousers, blouses, tops, skirts and wrap-around dresses for both day and evening, and the fabric is also useful for making lovely throws for the home. When you sew garments and other pieces in velvet, remember that all pattern pieces must face the same way with the pile facing up. The fabric should feel smooth and soft when you run your hand along your creative project. NOTE: We recommend that you sew woven viscose velvet with French seams. If you want to iron velvet, you should fold the fabric in half and iron from the wrong side, to ensure that the piles can interface and not become flattened or ruined.
