1- Using the template, cut 2 apple pattern pieces in fabric.
2- Iron lightweight interface onto the wrong side of the fabric.
3- Using the template, cut 2 leaves in fabric.
4- Sew leaves together right sides together. Leave gap open at bottom.
5- Mitre corner, turn leaves right side out.
6- Fill leaf with a little fibre filling. Topstitch as shown on the template
7- Sew leaf to one apple (as shown on the template). NB: 0.5cm seam allowance.
8- Cut a 35cm length of anorak cord. Fold cord in half.
9- Sew to one apple (at the notch).
10- Sew apple pattern pieces together with right sides together.
11- Leave gap between notches open. Turn right side out.
12- Tie the musical box to the cord. Fill the apple with fibre filling.
13- Close the gap at the bottom with invisible stitching. Make sure you can still pull the musical box cord.
