Softshell is designed to be both breathable and windproof. It consists of an outer material that is windproof and water-repellent, while the inside is soft and flexible. All in all, it's a combination that offers you great comfort and freedom of movement.
The quality is windproof and waterproof with a water column pressure of 5,000 mm and good breathability of 3,000 mm.
Softshell or Rainwear?
In general, softshell is more breathable than traditional rainwear, making it more comfortable to wear when you're active.
Many wear softshell regardless of the weather: You're prepared for a rain shower, and at the same time, the soft inner layer keeps you comfortably warm.
About Water Column Pressure
Water column pressure indicates how much water the material can withstand before it starts to penetrate. The higher the water column pressure, the more waterproof it is. A good rule of thumb is that +2,000 mm is suitable for light rain showers/short trips in the rain, while +5,000 is for a heavier rain shower or a couple of hours in light rain. If you're going to be out in heavy rain, we recommend +8,000 mm.

This fabric consists of 95% polyester and 5% elastane. The fabric measures 140 cm in width, and you decide how many meters you want to order.
When you start sewing in softshell, we recommend using a universal needle size 80.
