1- Cut 2 collar pieces. Sew along the upper edge, right sides together. Turn to the right side. Sew the lower edge (0.5 cm seam allowance).
2- Cut 2 saddle blanket pieces. Place the collar between the 2 notches on one saddle blanket piece.
3- Lay the other saddle blanket piece on the top. Sew, leaving a gap open at the lower edge for turning. Trim the curved seams.
4- Turn to right side. Hand-stitch the gap closed using small invisible stitches.
5- Cut a 7 cm length of webbing. Fold the webbing around the buckle and sew it to one side of the blanket (see marking).
6- Sew the rest of the webbing onto the other side of the blanket (see marking). Sew on the buckle. Fold the end 2 x 1 cm, and stitch to secure. Sew/iron on a patch (optional).
