Unfortunately, we’re seeing fake webshops pretending to be Selfmade®. They try to imitate our creative universe, but they have nothing to do with us.

Here’s a simple guide to help you feel completely safe when shopping with us.

How to spot a fake webshop

When a webshop is pretending to be Selfmade®, there are several signs to look out for. These are the most common indicators:

1. The web address looks incorrect
A genuine Selfmade webshop will always begin with https://www.selfmade.com/

2. The language seems off
Fake websites often use automatic translations. This results in texts with spelling mistakes, mixed languages and descriptions that don’t match the products.

3. You’re asked to pay in a different currency
At Selfmade®, you always pay in your own currency. If the currency changes unexpectedly, we recommend you stop the purchase immediately.

4. Missing contact details
A trustworthy webshop displays clear contact information. If there’s no phone number, customer service or address listed, you should be cautious.

5. The webshop isn’t linked to our social media
Fake sites rarely link to our official profiles. You’ll always find us on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and YouTube as Selfmade®.
