Cotton jersey with patterns is delightful. It makes the more traditional DIY designs – e.g., the classic short- or long-sleeved t-shirt – even more personal.

What will you sew?

Jersey suits most things. For leggings and trousers, tops and t-shirts, or dresses and skirts. It's also a lovely material for a soft bodysuit for the little ones.

Some practicalities

When working with jersey, we recommend using a jersey needle, which is characterised by having a medium point – also called ball point. The needle easily penetrates the knitted quality and prevents stitches and threads from running. For this type of jersey, we recommend jersey needles in size 70/80.
