Terms and Conditions
These terms and conditions apply to purchases made on www.selfmade.com/en-gb.
1. These terms
1.1 These are the terms and conditions on which we supply products in the form of goods to you.
1.2 Please read these terms carefully before you submit your order to us. They explain who we are, how we will provide products to you, your rights to make changes or cancel the contract, what to do if there is a problem, and other important details.
2. Information about us and how to contact us
We are Selfmade Trading Limited, registered in England with company number 10012018. Our registered office is at 27 Greville Street, London, EC1N 8TN.

If we need to contact you, we’ll use the email, phone number, or postal address provided in your order.
“Writing” includes emails.
3. Our contract with you
We’ll confirm acceptance of your order by email, at which point a contract will be formed.
If we’re unable to accept your order, we’ll let you know and won’t charge you.
We will assign an order number to your order for reference.
We only deliver to addresses within the UK.
4. Our products
Images on our site are for illustrative purposes only. Colours may differ depending on your screen.
Packaging may vary.
If you provide measurements for a product, you’re responsible for ensuring their accuracy.
5. Your rights to make changes
If you’d like to make changes to an order, please contact us. We’ll confirm if the change is possible and inform you of any effects on price, delivery, or other details.
6. Our rights to make changes
We may make minor adjustments to reflect legal or technical changes. These won’t affect your use of the product.
7. Providing the products
Delivery costs will be shown on the website at checkout.
You’ll be informed of delivery timelines during the order process.
We’re not responsible for delays outside our control. You may cancel if there is a substantial delay.
If no one is available to receive the delivery, we’ll inform you how to rearrange or collect.
If you don’t collect or rearrange delivery, we may cancel the contract and charge for storage.
You may cancel the contract if we miss an essential delivery deadline (see section 7.6).
If cancelling due to late delivery, you must return goods or allow collection. We cover postage or collection costs.
You are responsible for goods once delivered. Ownership transfers upon full payment.
We may need additional information from you to supply your order. If not provided in a timely manner, we may cancel or charge a fee.
We may suspend supply for technical or legal updates and will notify you in advance unless urgent.
If suspended for more than 28 days, you may cancel and receive a refund for the affected period.
8. Your rights to end the contract
You can always end your contract. Your rights depend on the situation:
- If the product is faulty – see section 11.
- If we’ve done something wrong – see section 8.2.
- If you’ve changed your mind – see section 8.3.
- Other situations – see section 8.6.
8.3 Right to cancel (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013)
You have 14 days to cancel most online purchases. Some exceptions apply (e.g. made-to-measure products or inseparable items).
For goods delivered in parts or by subscription, the 14-day period starts from the last or first delivery, respectively.
8.6 Cancelling for other reasons
You may cancel a contract before completion, but we may charge a fee. The contract completes when the product is paid for and delivered.
9. How to cancel
Contact us by phone on +44 333 1559 855 or email [email protected]. Alternatively, send a written letter or use our cancellation form.
Return items to: Selfmade® / STOFF & STIL, Birk Centerpark 82, 7400 Herning, Denmark. You must return items within 14 days of notifying us.
We pay return shipping if:
- The product is faulty or misdescribed
- You cancel because of pricing, delays, or other valid reasons
You pay return shipping if you simply changed your mind.
Refunds include delivery costs (within limits). We may deduct for reduced item value due to handling beyond what’s allowed in a shop.
Refunds will be issued using your original payment method within 14 days of return or proof of posting.
10. Our rights to end the contract
We may cancel the contract if:
- You don’t pay on time
- You don’t provide necessary information
- You don’t accept delivery
11. If there is a problem with the product

We are legally obliged to supply products that conform to your contract. Your rights include:
- 30 days: full refund for faulty items
- 6 months: replacement or refund if repair is not possible
- 6 years: partial refund if the product doesn't last reasonably
12. Price and payment
Prices include VAT and are displayed at checkout. We accept Visa, Mastercard and PayPal. Payment must be made before dispatch.
If a pricing error is obvious, we may cancel the order and refund you.
13. Our liability
We are responsible for foreseeable loss or damage. We’re not liable for business losses or unforeseeable events.
We do not exclude liability where it would be unlawful, such as death, injury, or fraud.
14. Your personal information
We will use your data to process orders, payments, and – if opted in – to send you product information. We do not share data unless required by law or credit reference checks.
15. Other important terms
We may transfer our rights to another organisation but will notify you. You need our consent to transfer your rights.
This contract is between you and us. Others cannot enforce its terms.
Each clause operates independently. If one is found illegal, the others remain valid.
Delays in enforcing terms do not waive our right to enforce them later.
These terms are governed by English law. Legal proceedings can be brought in English courts, or in Scotland/Northern Ireland if you reside there.
Other information
We recommend pre-washing fabric before cutting to prevent shrinkage and bleeding.
We aim to ensure all site and newsletter content is correct, but errors may occur. We reserve the right to correct errors or reject orders based on inaccuracies, including in price, delivery terms, or availability.
