Recycled polyester upholstery fabric with backing

Spruce up your furniture by upholstering it in fabrics and materials that suit your home.

This fabric works wonders when used to upholster your armchairs, chair seats, daybeds and headboards not to mention used for pillows, poufs and garden cushions.

The upholstery fabric is with backing. ‘Backing’ means that is has a stabilizing back that enhances the sturdiness of the fabric and helps it maintain its shape.

Recycled polyester fabric

This GRS certified recycled upholstery fabric consists of 100% polyester of which 50% is recycled polyester. The horizontal kit-coloured mélange weave gives it a wonderful mélange look.

What is GRS?

GRS stands for Global Recycled Standard and is a recognised international standard for tracking and verifying textile products that must contain a minimum of 20% recycled material.

For instance it’s mostly plastic bottles that are used for our recycled polyester (rPET) – a polyester fabric production that results in the reduction of 32% of CO2 emissions.

GRS covers the whole production chain and its aim is to increase the use of recycled polyester in products and in this way protect the environment against further harmful production.

The Martindale rub count of this fabric is 20.000

What is Martindale?

Martindale is a term used to tell you something about the durability and robustness of a fabric. The higher the Martindale rub count is, the more durable the fabric is.

If you need the fabric to upholster furniture, we recommend that you pick a material with a minimum Martindale rub count of 20.000.
