We enlarged the pumpkin template and painted the orange curtain with black opaque textile paint. But you can also cut the parts out on black cotton canvas and sew or glue them onto the fabric.

We have two costume ideas for you: one that's easy and a slightly more advanced costume.

Toddler's Pumpkin Costume

Dress up your little one in a delightful pumpkin costume that's as cute as it is comfy. Perfect for tiny tots and so adorable! This costume is sewn using the DIY: Easy costume - oval in orange fleece, keeping your little one nice and toasty outside.

We added a ruffled collar in green cotton canvas and the cutest orange cloche adorned with a tiny green leaf and stalk in the same cotton canvas.

Teen's Pumpkin Costume

For this costume, we've kept it a little more straightforward. This is a custome your teenager would be able to make themselves.

We sewed the DIY Easy costume - square in orange cotton canvas and decorated it with a slightly eerie face that strikes the right balance between fun and fright.

The elements for the face are cut using our template in black felt. We've fixed the felt with Vliesofix. We've kept the costume long here, so it works as a dress.

This treat-collecting bag is crafted from black felt and adorned with orange felt pieces, giving it a jack-o'-lantern visage. The basket's handle is made from sturdy anorak cord.

If you plan on using the platters for foodstuffs, we recommend you use clingfilm to separate the food from the bowl. Or make things easy and use wrapped sweets, as we did.
